Terms of Service
These are the terms you agree to by creating a RichBudget account. They are written to be read, not skimmed: they are short, and nothing in them is a surprise.
Last updated 24 September 2026.
The service
RichBudget is a personal budgeting app. You record what you spend, set monthly budgets, and the app tells you what is safe to spend today. It works in a browser and can be installed on a phone or computer. The Privacy Policy explains what we store and is part of these terms.
Your account
- You need a working email address and a password only you know. You are responsible for what happens under your account; if you think someone else has access, change your password and use “Sign out everywhere” on the Security page.
- You must be at least 16 to use RichBudget.
- One person, one account. If you share a budget with someone, invite them from the Account page rather than sharing your password.
What you may not do
Use RichBudget to break the law, to attack the service or other people’s accounts, to send unsolicited invitations, or to probe or overload our systems. We rate-limit sign-in and email so that abuse of one account does not affect others, and we may suspend an account that is being used this way.
Plans and payment
RichBudget is currently free while it earns your trust; every feature is included and you will never be charged without choosing a paid plan yourself. If paid plans are offered, prices are shown before you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe, you can cancel at any time from the Account page, and cancelling stops the next charge without deleting your data.
Not financial advice
The numbers RichBudget shows are arithmetic on what you entered. They are not financial, tax or investment advice, and the app does not know about money you have not recorded. Decisions you make with it are yours.
Availability and liability
We work to keep RichBudget available and your data safe, and we back the database up every night, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service. RichBudget is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for loss of data beyond what our backups can restore. Keep your own copy of anything critical: Settings → Data gives you a full export at any time.
Ending things
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Security; that removes your budget immediately. We may close an account that breaks these terms or that has been inactive for a very long time, and we will email you first when we can.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes and the app tells you the next time you sign in. Using RichBudget after that means you accept the new terms. If you do not, you can export your data and delete your account.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which RichBudget’s operator is established, and disputes are handled by its courts, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived — those still apply.
